BL-31 was a very-lowend model in the years they were produced. It was listpriced only JPY250,000-350,000 and even low-income Japanese salary workers could afford without pains. If special treatments such as that hammers have been replaced with better ones and properly voiced, USD2,000 seems unreasonably high. I have a used KL502(serial# 1155547)which was listpriced JPY450,000-500,000 and produced in the same years as yours costed only USD18,000 in Japan.
